54 Cars Reportedly Damaged At Wilmington Dealership

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police are investigating after someone reportedly damaged more than 50 vehicles at a Wilmington car dealership.

Initial investigations indicated that sometime between Saturday, Sept. 20th at around 7 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 22 around 7 a.m., an unknown suspect applied what appears to be an acid-based product to the exterior of 54 vehicles parked on the display lot of the Sheridan Ford at 4001 Kirkwood Highway.

The suspect caused an estimated $54,000 in damage to the cars before fleeing from the area.

No video surveillance of the incident is available at this time, but police are asking anyone with information on the crime to contact Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, email a tip via www.tipsubmit.com, or send an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
