Suspect Sought In Armed Robbery Of Northeast Philly Wawa

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for the suspect who robbed a convenience store in Northeast Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The robbery happened at about 3:45 a.m. at the Wawa located in the 7000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the super Wawa and approached an employee. Police say the suspect brandished what appeared to be a weapon and demanded money.

The suspect then ran out of the store, but it was not immediately known if he obtained any money.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a black hoodie and a scarf.
