Suspect Robs Washington Square Dunkin' Donuts With Shotgun During Daylight Hours

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Dunkin' Donuts with a shotgun in the middle of the afternoon.

The crime happened on a busy stretch of Walnut Street at the Washington Square area Dunkin' Donuts located at 1324 Walnut Street.

Around 1:30 p.m. on January 9th, the suspect reportedly entered the store, placed an order, then returned to the counter and placed a second order.

When the employee handed him his order, the suspect placed a black trash bag with the shotgun inside on the counter and demanded money.

The employee gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and he fled the store heading west on Walnut.

The suspect is described as a black male who is about 5'5"-5'7" with a medium build. He was wearing a black skull cap, a black jacket, cream colored pants and cream colored shoes and was carrying the trash bag with the shotgun inside.
