Suspect Arrested After Burlington County Bank Robbery

HAINESPORT, NJ (CBS) – According to police, a suspect with a handgun robbed a Fulton Bank in Hainesport Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred at the bank located at 1302 New Jersey 38. The suspect displayed a gun and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

After crashing a stolen Ford Explorer, he hopped into a gold Avalon, which he then crashed through a fence in the area of Creek Road. He fled the scene on foot.

Police say they were alerted of the robbery by a silent alarm.

The suspect was reportedly captured a short time later. There is no word on his identity.
