Suspect Arrested After Firing Gun During Attempted Bank Robbery, Philadelphia Police Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man is behind bars Friday night after police say he tried to rob a bank at gunpoint. Police say the suspect hit the Citizens Bank on the 3700 block of Germantown Avenue in Tioga around 3:30 p.m.

Police say he allegedly fired a gun in the bank vestibule but nobody was injured.

He was taken into custody by police and a weapon was recovered.
