Super Saturday Lures Last Minute Holiday Shoppers To Retailers Across Region

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Christmas is just four days away and Super Saturday was in full swing today. Some people consider the last Saturday before Christmas "Panic Saturday" as holiday shoppers are rushing to find last minute gifts.

It is also known as one of the biggest shopping days of the year.

Stores in South Jersey and Pennsylvania were crowded with last minute holiday shoppers today.

Retailers are hoping for a big boost in sales.

They are targeting the procrastinators, luring them in with big sales and extended hours.

Cash registers at U.S. retailers are expected to ring in around $34 billion today.

The next few days are sure to be busy at retailer shops throughout the region.
