Super Bowl 50: Three Philly Ties To The Carolina Panthers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's the Super Bowl. You're going to watch. Everyone is going to watch.

But, if you don't like to gamble, how do you a pick a team to root for? Here are three Philadelphia ties to the Carolina Panthers, who will face the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, February 7th.

3. Coaching Staff

Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, 54, was the Eagles' linebackers coach from 1999-2003, during three straight NFC Championship appearances.

Panthers defensive coordinator started his NFL coaching career with the Eagles in 1999, as a scouting administrative coordinator. In 2009-2010, he was the defensive coordinator and secondary coach.

2. Kurt Coleman

Coleman, 27, was a seventh round pick of the Eagles in 2010. Coleman played for the Eagles for four seasons.

1. Corey "Philly" Brown

Brown, 24, was born and raised in Philly -- hence the nickname. Brown graduated from Cardinal O'Hara high school and then Ohio State University, before signing with the Panthers in 2014 after going undrafted.

Brown caught an 86-yard touchdown in last weekend's NFC Championship game.
