Super Bowl 50: Three Philly Ties To The Denver Broncos

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's the Super Bowl. You're going to watch. Everyone is going to watch.

But, if you don't like to gamble, how do you a pick a team to root for? Here are three Philadelphia ties to the Denver Broncos, who will face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, February 7th.

3. Jordan Norwood

OK, this is a bit of stretch, but Norwood went to Penn State and played for State College Area High School. In 2009, Norwood was signed to the Eagles' practice squad and bounced around a bit before landing in Denver in 2014. Norwood is now the Broncos' dangerous punt returner.

2. Evan Mathis

Mathis, 34, was abruptly released by ex-Eagles head coach Chip Kelly after a reported contract dispute. Mathis, a two-time Pro Bowl guard, spent four seasons in Philadelphia (2011-2014).

1. Brandon McManus

McManus, 24, is a Philly native who graduated from North Penn and then Temple University. McManus was 30-35 in field goal attempts this season -- his first as the Broncos' starting kicker. He has made all seven of his postseason field goals.
