Sun, Clouds And A Little Rain

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's a quiet Delaware Valley morning, but there is some activity looming south of the region.

It will be a mixed bag today, depending on where you live. A stalled frontal boundary will bring showers and a few thunderstorms to southern locations today. Philadelphia will see mainly clouds, and perhaps a light shower or too that may nudge far enough north. In the Lehigh Valley and Poconos, mostly sunny skies are expected. Expect highs in the mid 80s, average for early July. If you are starting a beach weekend early, today won't be the greatest of beach days.

This front will remain stationary just to the south, but will move a bit further away on Friday. Some clouds in the morning will yield and mix with sun.

Saturday will also feature some sun, but an isolated shower or storm could pop up during the afternoon. That being said, the majority of the fireworks will thankfully be of the manmade variety. Sunday looks to be the best day of the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures.
