SugarHouse Casino Provides 'Sweet Commute' For Philly Workers During Regional Rail Interruptions

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Regional Rail riders who are tired of the recent service delays now have another alternative. SugarHouse Casino is launching a morning parking and shuttle service for the remainder of July.

Commuters can now park for free on weekdays at the casino and SugarHouse will provide a free shuttle into Center City.

General Manager Wendy Hamilton says the plan is a win-win.

"Our hope, obviously, is that they come into our building and try some of our restaurants," Hamilton admitted, "and tour our new gaming floor while they're here."

Shuttles will leave SugarHouse at 7:00 and 8:15 a.m. and will make three Center City stops. Then the regularly scheduled Sugar Express has eight Center City stops between 5:00 p.m. and midnight.
