Study: Americans Would Take Pay Cut If They Could Work From Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Would you take a pay cut if you could work from home?

If so, you're not alone.

According to a new study from Harvard and Princeton researchers, American workers on average would take an 8 percent pay cut if they could work from home.

The study says some are even willing to part with 21 percent of their pay.

The poll finds only 9 percent of U.S. workers have the work from home option.

Researchers say women, particularly those with young children, have higher a willingness for a work from home option and
to avoid employer scheduling discretion.
