Students Navigate Slippery Sidewalks To School After A Snow Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - After a snow day, students in the Philadelphia School District strapped on their snow boots and headed to class.

Most students in the Philadelphia School District walk or take SEPTA to class. For Jannatul Naima, the ten-block walk to West Philly High was almost unbearable.

"My feets are freezing, my cheeks are cold and my hands feel like they're going to fall off," she said. "I was actually this close to not coming today. But I've got to come, it's my senior year."

Students said sidewalks on the main roads like Chestnut Street seemed to be cleared of snow, but along smaller side streets, not so much.
