Student Found Dead In Millersville Dorm; Boyfriend Charged With Aggravated Assault

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (CBS) -- A Millersville University freshman from Chadds Ford was found dead in her dormitory room Sunday morning and her boyfriend is in custody facing assault charges.

The Lancaster District Attorney's Office says police responded to a call around 5 a.m. at Bard Hall on campus for a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, officers found 18-year-old Karlie Hall unresponsive in her dorm room.

Millersville University spokeswoman Janet Kacskos says Hall was pronounced dead early Sunday by the Lancaster County coroner's office.

Police are calling Hall's death suspicious. Her boyfriend, 19-year-old Gregorio Orrostieta, of Kennett Square, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The District Attorney says there was a "physical altercation" between Orrostieta and Hall early Sunday.
