Strath Haven High Evacuated After Suspected Bomb Threat

WALLINGFORD, Pa. (CBS) -- A high school in Delaware County was evacuated Tuesday morning after a suspected bomb threat.

According to the Nether Providence Police Department, a call was placed to Strath Haven High School at about 9:30 a.m.

As a precaution, students and staff were evacuated from the high school and were transferred to the middle school.

According to officials with Strath Haven High School, police are conducting a complete search of the high school to investigate the suspected bomb threat. School officials said the threat was reported by a student to the administration.

The exact nature of the threat was not immediately known.

School officials said upon competition of the police search, they expect the high school to return to a normal day.
