Stolen 'Peanuts' Lawn Ornaments Returned To Gloucester Township Family

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – A family distraught over the theft of some cherished lawn ornaments can now enjoy the holiday season.

The three wooden hand-painted "Peanuts" character holiday decorations were stolen from the front lawn of a residence in the Magnolia section of Gloucester Township overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

The three characters taken were Pig Pen, Marcie and Peppermint Patty.

Shortly after police were notified, a resident from Somerdale Borough contacted police and said that two young males in a white vehicle left the decorations on his front step, rang his doorbell and quickly left the area around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29th.

The ornaments were then returned to the Gloucester Township family.

Anyone with information on the suspects or the white vehicle is asked to call police at 856-842-5560.
