'Star Trek: Into Darkness' At The Mann Center

By Molly Daly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Starship Enterprise docks at the Mann Center on Thursday, July 31st, for a special screening of Star Trek: Into Darkness (left image), accompanied by the Philadelphia Orchestra (right image), under the baton of David Newman.

Mann Center president and CEO Catherine Cahill says that no matter where you're sitting, the sound and the sights will be terrific.

"The spectacle of combining live symphonic music with a giant LED screen that just pops with brilliance off of our magnificent main stage, and, of course, nothing better than being on the lawn, under the stars with the great giant screen on the back of our pavilion. It is bringing the best together in a magnificent setting," she says.

It's a treat for the eyes and a feast for the senses.
