St. Mary Nurse Gets The Super Model Treatment

LANGHORNE, Pa. (CBS) -- Dawn Sorenson, a 51-year-old mother of three, has been a nurse at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne for 10 years.

"I love the patients and the interactions. I love helping other people," Sorenson said of being a nurse.

Sorenson certainly helps others, but this day was about putting her first.

So, in the spirit of giving, with the help of the David J. Mitchell Salong and Spa in Peddler's Village. Dawn received the supermodel treatment to get her gussied up for her hospitals holiday party.

Sorenson not only works a job where she constantly cares for others, her husband is also a cancer survivor. The time has come for her to be treated like a princess.

The first snip of hair saw eight inches going to charity. Then it was off to get the perfect brows from makeup artist Erin Griffin.

Taking a moment to take it all in, Sorenson's holiday look was almost done. A few more finishing touches and it was time for the big reveal.

Sorenson stepped from behind the curtain to reveal her new look to coworkers, friends and family.

"You deserve it mom," one of her children said as she stepped out.
