WAYNE, Pa. (CBS) -- Sports took center stage at Villanova Law School today as panelists shared their thoughts about a number of hot-button issues in that industry.

Agents, attorneys, sports writers, and NFL alumni tackled such topics as domestic violence incidents, concussion litigation, and pro football past and present.

"I cover five decades in the NFL, and I don't think there's any comparison," said former Eagles' coach Dick Vermeil (third from left on panel).  "I just think it's so much better (now)."

Former All-Pro running back Warren Dunn (fourth from left) disagreed.

"Guys don't practice anymore, they don't hit anymore," he said.  "It takes away from the era that I played in -- that was violent hits."

Eagles' great Brian Westbrook (far left) noted the NFL needs to address new challenges from social media.

"You know what I'm thinking 'cause I'm saying it on Instagram and Twitter and Facebook," he said.  "I don't know that that has made things better.  I think it's made it a little more complicated for the players, because they have to have a filter.  And some of these guys just don't have it at this point."
