Sport Drinks May Damage Teeth

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Sports drinks in all their varied colors and with all their dramatic sports performance claims are incredibly popular. They are used by all ages: kids at little league and peewee football ask their parents for red, blue, or green.

What you may not know is they can be more damaging to teeth than cola when consumed on a regular basis. In fact, they cause 11 times more damage to the teeth.

Of course, the operative term is on a regular basis. Occasionally they are fine.

And, you know if you look at it, that's the way many things work. In moderation it's okay. It's just when it becomes excessive it's a problem.
