Several people were hit by a car near the South Philly Easter Carnival Saturday night after a driver had a medical emergency, Philadelphia Police said.

In an update Sunday, police said four people, including three adults and one 3-year-old, were hit near the intersection of 7th Street and Packer Avenue just before 9 p.m.

Overnight, police initially told CBS News Philadelphia that at least seven people were injured in the crash.

Police said the driver, a 68-year-old man who experienced a medical episode while behind the wheel, was taken to Presbyterian Hospital, and the four people hit in the street were taken to Jefferson Hospital with "varying degrees of injuries."

Everyone injured in the accident is in stable condition as of Sunday afternoon, according to police.
