49-Year-Old Man Dead After Stabbing Outside South Philadelphia Wawa: Police

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police in Philadelphia are investigating a deadly stabbing outside of a South Philadelphia Wawa. This happened after 3:56 a.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Columbus Boulevard.

Police and Wawa workers were the only ones allowed to go inside the establishment as customers were turned away.

According to the department, the 49-year-old man was found with wounds to the lower abdomen inside a black car parked in the Wawa parking lot. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:38 a.m.

CBS3 noticed there was an Uber sticker on the front driver's side of the windshield and a shattered window in the rear of the car.

Part of this investigation will revolve around any surveillance video authorities can find in the area.

The same Wawa was the site of a deadly shooting last October. That shooting left one man dead and a police officer injured.

CBS3's Wakisha Bailey contributed to this report.
