South Philadelphia Rowhome Blaze Sends 3 Firefighters To Hospital, Displaces 15 People

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A rowhome fire in South Philadelphia sent three firefighters to the hospital and displaced about 15 people on Monday. Chopper 3 was on the scene around 5 p.m. on the 1600 block of South 5th Street.

Heavy flames were seen pouring out of the home.

Firefighters worked to stop the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

Officials say more than 120 firefighters were on scene. It took more than an hour to get the blaze under control, officials say.

Crews remain on scene putting out hot spots.
