PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—A Cape May County woman is facing charges after police say she assaulted officers and firefighters in Wildwood.

It happened back on November 17 when North Wildwood police officers responded to reports of a disorderly woman in the area of Walnut and Olde New Jersey Avenues in North Wildwood.

When officers attempted to arrest the woman, identified as Elizabeth Sanders, 43, of Villas, New Jersey,  she began kicking two officers in the leg and groin area and bit police and fire personnel.

Even after her arrest, police say Sanders spit on police and fire officials.

Sanders is charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer; one count of aggravated assault on a firefighter; three counts of throwing bodily fluid and one count of resisting arrest.

Sanders was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on $15,000 bail.
