South Jersey Winery Hosts Benefit For Local Animal Rescue

PEDRICKTOWN, NJ (CBS) – Adorable adoptable animals and wine are combining in New Jersey to raise funds for a nearby animal rescue organization.

FURever Friends, a nonprofit animal rescue located in Pennsville, is having a benefit at Salem Oak Vineyards this Saturday, August 2nd.

It's called Wine, Whiskers and Wags, and in addition to tasting six wines from the vineyard, guests at the event can also listen to tunes from a DJ, participate in a 50/50 and try their luck in a raffle.

Plus, organizers say four adoptable animals, two dogs and two cats, will be on-site for guests to meet and potentially adopt.

FURever Friends says it hosts four major fundraising events each year in order to pay for medical care for its rescue animals.
