Some Flights Canceled; Mass Transit Agencies Prepare For Snow

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Mass transit agencies are preparing for a snow storm to blow in during the evening commute.
At Philadelphia International Airport, passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the status of their flights. US Airways and Southwest Airlines have canceled several flights this morning, due to problems in other cities.
New Jersey Transit has system-wide cross-honoring in effect all day today, allowing riders to use their tickets on an alternate mode of transportation. For example, for no extra charge, riders can use a bus or light rail if their train is delayed or canceled.
This morning, SEPTA's Heather Redfern says they're in a 'wait and see' state, "We monitor the storm, to see the path that it's coming in. We have people in our command center that are constantly monitoring the forecast and the areas of the city and the region that it's coming into to see where it might affect us first."
