Social Media Today: YouTube Mix, Sprint Partners With Spotify, Messenger Update

One of the biggest uses for YouTube is listening to music, and for Android users it's about to become more convenient. YouTube has added "YouTube Mix" an auto-generated playlist of an artist's most popular videos.

YouTube Mix debuted on desktop last year, but now the service has enable it on Android.

Sprint teams up with Spotify

Sprint is partnering with Spotify in hopes of capitalizing on the popularity of music streaming services.

The wireless carrier is including access to Spotify with its "Framily Plan" for six months beginning May 9th.

The deal was announced during the unveiling of a new phone, the HTC One M8, a device focused on music.

Facebook updates Messenger app

Facebook has updated its Messenger app, adding a new camera option for taking photos within the app.

Photo are now both captured and sent with just one click. A camera icon above the keyboard surfaces the phone's camera, which can also be flipped for front-facing photos.
