Facebook Leads Referral Traffic

Shareaholic Social Media Traffic Report

Social discovery and sharing platform Shareaholic has released its first quarter report on social media referral traffic and Facebook topped the list.

Facebook drove more than 20% of overall social referrals during March, an increase of almost 40 percent from December 2013. Pinterest came in second with just over seven percent, growing 48% during the same period.

Reddit downgrades section after censorship

One of the most popular sections on the social news site Reddit has been downgraded.

Users discovered moderators were secretly deleting stories in the r/technology subreddit that featured certain words like "Bitcoin," "Obama," and "Snowden."

Reddit's Moderators, who are volunteers, placed a filter on the section that automatically censored certain words because they didn't want to deal with the large number of stories submitted on controversial topics.

LinkedIn's 300 million members will now be able to share images on the network via mobile.

The company launched photo sharing on the platform last year but it was only available on the desktop. LinkedIn is making it easier for its members to share their professional photos while they are in the moment and on the go via their Apple or Android device.
