Love wins landmark "Twibel" case

A California jury has decided that Hole front woman Courtney Love shouldn't be held liable for a tweet directed at her former attorney. A civil suit seeking $8 million was filed by Rhonda Holmes, who had once acted as Love's fraud litigation attorney. It was the first trial in a U.S. courtroom involving allegations of defamation on Twitter.

Love resurfaced on Twitter after the verdict and tweeted: "I can't thank you enough Dongell Lawrence Finney LLP, the most incredible law firm on the planet. We won this epic battle."

As many of you are aware, this update has been a long time coming.
