Smoke Condition Prompts Evacuation Of Montgomery Mall

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A smoke condition and power outage believed connected to a malfunctioning generator forced evacuation of the Montgomery Mall in North Wales about 10 a.m. today.

Employees and shoppers were evacuated after an odor of smoke was detected.

Several fire companies responded to the mall and contained the situation.

Repairs are being made and officials expect the mall to reopen this afternoon.
