Sixers Introduce New Mascot, 'Franklin' The Dog
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Sixers introduced Franklin, a blue dog, as their new mascot at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Franklin Institute. Franklin is the team's third mascot.
The reveal was broadcast live online at sixers.com/franklin. The Sixers dancers and flight squad was on-hand for the event, along with a large group of young Sixer fans.
Franklin danced, clapped, dunked basketballs, and played with the kids.

Franklin's first game will be on Friday, February 20th against the Indiana Pacers. The first 5,000 kids 12-years-old or younger will get a Franklin jersey. The Sixers also announced kids 12 and under will get in free with the purchase of an adult ticket on March 6th (up to 5 kids per adult ticket).
