Sixers Announce Roster For Opening Night

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After a day of wheeling and dealing, the Sixers announced their 2014-2015 Opening Night Roster on Monday night. The Sixers had to release three players ahead of the Monday afternoon deadline.

The team decided to waive guard Elliot Williams, guard Marquis Teague and forward Travis Outlaw who was acquired earlier in the day in a trade with the Knicks.

The Sixers 2014-15 roster:

Guards: Michael Carter-Williams, K.J. McDaniels, Jason Richardson, Alexey Shved, Hollis Thompson, Tony Wroten

Forwards: Brandon Davies, Jerami Grant, Chris Johnson, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Jakarr Sampson, Malcolm Thomas

Centers: Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, Henry Sims

The Sixers 15 man roster will get their first test on Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers and open their home schedule on November 1st against the Heat.
