Sixers Acquire Guard Marquis Teague From Nets

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Sixers announced on Friday that they have completed a trade to acquire guard Marquis Teague from the Brooklyn Nets. The Sixers will send guard Casper Ware to the Nets.

There were rumblings in recent days that these two teams were discussing a deal and it is now official.

In addition to swapping the two point guards, the Sixers will also acquire a 2019 second round draft pick.

Teague was originally drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the 29th overall selection in 2012. He has appeared in 88 games since entering the NBA over two seasons with the Bulls and the Nets.

Teague played his college ball at Kentucky.

Sixers guard Tony Wroten likes the deal.
