Sisters Give Birth To Sons 22 Hours Apart At Abington Hospital

ABINGTON, Pa., (CBS) -- A pair of newborns have people talking in Abington, Montgomery County.

Jack and Owen were born 22 hours apart. But what makes them unique is that their mothers are sisters.

Brigid Bink and Emily Whitaker went through it all together, from pregnancy to delivery.

When Brigid had her baby boy, Emily was right there to visit.

But soon after she got home, her water broke and it was her turn to deliver.

"It's been the craziest nine months ever. We had a dual shower and it's just been crazy and great. It's just such a miracle, times two," Brigid said.

"We always hoped for the same sex whatever it was just so they could have that closeness, and we didn't, we were convinced girl and boy. So, I was so overwhelmed with happiness," Emily said.

The boys are the first children for both Emily and Brigid and the first grandchildren for the family.
