Showers Tuesday & Wednesday Before Clearing Up

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's been several days since we've seen rain, but the wet weather makes a return today.

Some heavy showers this morning have prompted a handful of flood advisories and even a flash flood warning.

Any rainfall today will stay scattered, so not everyone will get in on the fun. Those that do will be subject to downpours and even an embedded thunderstorm. Breaks of sun are possible this afternoon, but the day will feature primarily cloudy skies.

Wednesday will follow suit with another chance of showers and storms. A cold front will push through later in the day, so any active weather will be relegated to the afternoon hours. Some storms could again produce heavy rain.

Skies will clear on Wednesday night, and Thursday and Friday will be dry and less humid.
