Holiday Shopping Season Continues With Small Business Saturday

MONTGOMERY COUNTY (CBS) -- It's the beginning of the holiday shopping season, and many area businesses rely on small business Saturday to help kick start sales.
Ambler in Montgomery County is lined with quaint shops and cafes, the kinds of places Anne enjoys perusing.
"I personally enjoy walking," she said. "It's important to help them maintain their businesses in this economy."
She's the kind of customer, small shop owner Judy Serrao wants to attract.
"We work especially hard, it's a personal thing for us."
Serrao owns the antique garden cottage on Main Street and says it's the personal touch and passion of small business owners that drives success.
"I have a little old fashion copy book, and I take everybody's information, what they're looking," Serrao said. "If I'm out, and I find it, I'll pick it up and give them a call, I've got it at the store--they come in and grab it."
