Man Dies After Being Shot In Head In East Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man has died following a shooting in East Germantown on Tuesday night.

It happened in the 1100 block of East Haines Street.

Police say two shots were fired into a Jeep Grand Cherokee, striking 25-year-old Timothy Kenner in the head. He died from his injuries Wednesday.

The driver of the Jeep lost control in the mayhem and collided with an Audi headed in the opposite direction.

The people in the Audi were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the Jeep told police that a light-colored sedan pulled up on the passenger side while stopped northbound on Ardleigh Street between Rittenhouse and Haines Streets. The sedan driver exchanged words with Kenner. Police say when the Jeep turned eastbound on Haines Street, someone fired several shots into the vehicle, striking Kenner.

No suspects have been named in the shooting.
