Shayne Gostisbehere Back Skating Following Torn ACL

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Monday, Flyers General Manager Ron Hextall updated the media on the condition of young Flyers defensive prospect Shayne Gostisbehere. The defenseman suffered a torn ACL on November 7th while on the ice for the Phantoms.

Gostisbehere suffered the injury just a few days after completing a stint with the Flyers during his first call-up to the NHL.

Hextall explained that Gostisbehere has recently started to skate again as he tries to rehab from the setback.

"He's been skating for a little while," Hextall explained to the media. "He skated today. It's just a skate though. It's an aerobic skate, and he goes out there and skates around and trying to get his wind back and legs back. So he's well on the way to recovery, albeit he still has some time."

Hextall added that even though Gostisbehere has skated, there is no timetable in place for his return to game action.
