Shane Montgomery's Death Ruled Accidental, Funeral Arrangements Set

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The family of Shane Montgomery, whose body was pulled from the Schuylkill River Saturday, says that autopsy results have come back and his death has been ruled accidental.

Shane went missing early Thanksgiving morning after a night out with friends, and after a five-week search, the 21-year-old's body was found by volunteer divers not far from where he was last seen in Manayunk.

The first viewing for Shane will take place at St. John the Baptist Church at 146 Rector Street in Manayunk this Thursday evening from 5-9.

The church will also hold a second viewing Friday morning at 9 before the 10 a.m. funeral mass.

This is the same church where search parties would gather during the 37 days Shane was missing.

Many gathered there Sunday morning as well to say a prayer for Shane, as well as for the Montgomery family, who never stopped searching for their son, and now, finally, have some closure.
