PECO Energy reports more than 224,000 customers are without power.

Spokesperson Liz Williamson says at its peak the storm left hundreds of thousands of their customers in the dark.

"We have seen a significant amount of outages related to the high winds. We're seeing a lot of down wires, down branches and trees, as well."

Delaware County has the most outages with more than 104,000 residences in the dark.

Chester County has more than 71,000 affected and Philadelphia is reporting just over 34,000 without power.

In Montgomery County, more than 12,000 are without electricity.

Delmarva Power says the storms left more than 29,000 customers in Delaware without power.

Williamson says workers are out assessing the damage so they can determine the most effective and efficient way to make repairs.

"We have extra crews available out in the field responding and safely restoring service as quickly as possible."

Atlantic City Electric says nearly 189,000 customers are without power, mostly in Gloucester and Cape May counties.

And PSE&G says about 73,884 customers are without power due to the storm's strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

They say there are four substations in Burlington and Camden counties that are out of service, accounting for about 35,000 of the outages. The stations are in Maple Shade, Southampton, Medford and Collingswood.

Officials say if your power is out you should call your power company and tell them, you should not assume they know.
