11 Students Injured In Crash Involving School Bus In South Jersey

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- Nearly a dozen students were injured in a crash that involved a school bus in South Jersey Thursday morning.

The crash happened at about 7 a.m. on Berlin-Cross Keys Road at Kearsley Road in Winslow Township.

According to the Gloucester Township Police Department, the school was making a left turn and sideswiped the passing motor vehicle.

Investigators said 39 students were aboard the school bus that was en-route to Camden County Technical School.

Eleven students on the bus were transported to area hospitals for complaints of neck and back pain. All of the injuries are considered to be minor and all of the injured are expected to be released sometime Thursday.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital for a complaint of neck pain.

The road was closed for about an hour while an investigation was conducted, but it has since reopened.

So far, no charges have been filed.

The crash remains under investigation.
