SEPTA/Amtrak Lines Resume After Police Investigation

FOLCROFT, Pa (CBS)-- Around 10 a.m. on Friday, authorities in Delaware County responded to reports that a police officer was shot at least six times near Baltimore Avenue and Elmwood Avenue.

Heavy police presence in this area has caused several delays, that have since been lifted.

Both SEPTA and Amtrak lines were previously suspended due to the investigation.

They have announced that they are currently up and running as of 1:15 p.m. on Friday. However, SEPTA trains will not be serving Folcroft Station due to continued police activity.

According to Amtrak's Media Relations department, Amtrak Acela Express and Northeast Regional service has resumed between Wilmington, Del. and Philadelphia after earlier police activity near Folcroft, Pa.

Amtrak was previously suspended between Wilmington, Delaware and Philadelphia.

However, the Amtrak Keystone Service (Harrisburg - Philadelphia - New York) was not been impacted.
