Officials Seek Suspect After Woman Is Robbed At Gunpoint On SEPTA Platform

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- SEPTA Police are asking for the public's help. On Friday night, officials say a robbery took place and they are searching for the suspect.

Police say the incident took place around 6:15 p.m. on the westbound platform of the Market-Frankford Line at the Girard Station. Authorities say the suspect was armed.

Police say he pointed a gun at a woman and demanded that she give him her purse. Officials say he then fled the station.

Authorities have released images of the suspect and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
