Another Frustrating Evening Commute As SEPTA Strike Continues
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Day 2 of the SEPTA strike, the lines were long at regional rail stations and commuters were frustrated by what some called organized chaos.
Ann of Northeast Philadelphia says she's had enough after two days.
"It's a pain. It really is," she said. "It's constant waiting because now you're waiting for trains and they're only letting so many people on. So you're here for hours or you're not getting home forever."
Wayne, of Upper Roxborough, was standing in the long line for the Norristown train. The lane snaked down a hall, turned a car and stretched down another hallway.
"I'm hoping I get on the train," he said. "I mean I hope, I hope there won't be two or three trains before I get a chance to get on. So this is bad, this is really bad."
Jenny from Lansdale summed up the frustrations of many commuters.
"It's crazy," she said. "I don't know how long it's gonna take me to get home."
And Dorothy from Roxborough says commuters have had enough.
"You know, you can't do this to people," she said. "People have to get to work, there are people that have to take time off of the job to take their kids to school because the schools won't close."
