SEPTA Officer's Bike Struck By Car Near Olney Transportation Center

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A SEPTA police officer's bike was struck by a car on Thursday.

The accident happened around at Broad and Olney in North Philadelphia.

Shortly before 3 p.m., a car with three people inside was traveling through a bus lane at the Olney Transportation Center.

A SEPTA bike officer attempted to stop the car when the vehicle struck his bike.

The officer was knocked off the bike but was not injured; however, the suspects did not stop.

A short distance later, their vehicle was stopped by police at 1400 Conlyn Street. All three suspects fled on foot and are still at large.

Officials believe the three suspects may have been involved in a crime that took place earlier on Thursday.
