SEPTA Offers Amnesty To Man Who Took Camera Left Behind At Subway

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- SEPTA is offering amnesty to a man seen on surveillance video taking an expensive camera left behind at a subway station.

In a tweet, SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel III says if the man returns the DSLR camera taken from the Cecil B. Moore station by Wednesday at 5 p.m. he will not be arrested.

Authorities say the camera was taken from under a bench on the station's southbound platform back on October 8.

Security footage from that day shows a man picking up the camera and then boarding a train.
