SEPTA K-9 Reunited With Family Following Controversial Separation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A SEPTA K-9 is back home with a South Jersey family following a controversial separation.

Abal, a bomb detection dog, lived with SEPTA Officer Richard Galanti and his family for four years.

The dog was recently transferred to another handler without explanation.

The family circulated a petition to get him back.

Abal is retiring from police work because of an injury and the Galanti family is now adopting the dog.
