SEPTA Bus Comes To Sudden Stop In North Philadelphia, Injuring Several

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An investigation is underway after a SEPTA bus reportedly came to a sudden stop, sending four people to the hospital.

Around 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, medics and firefighters responded to the intersection of North Broad Street and West Erie Avenue for reports of an accident involving a SEPTA bus.

When crews arrived on scene, they found that the bus had not been involved in a crash but had come to a sudden stop that left several passengers complaining of injuries.

Fifteen passengers were on board the bus. Three were reportedly taken to Temple University Hospital and one was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

There is no word on the passengers' conditions, but none of the injuries are said to be serious.
