More Than 125 Senior-Citizens Go To "Senior Prom" In Bordentown

BORDENTOWN, N.J. (CBS) – Who says prom is just for high school students?

More than 125 senior-citizens are putting their dancing shoes on for the Gilder Park Senior Prom. It is being held today at the Carslake Community Center in Bordentown.

The prom, sponsored by YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties and the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders,Office of Aging, may begin earlier than most, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 1:00 p.m., but it is sure to be just as fun.

All attendees receive a delicious meal and are treated to music and dancing.

There is also a chance to win prizes, including the coveted Prom King and Queen.
