Schuylkill County Soldier Killed In Afghanistan
ORWIGSBURG, Pa., (CBS) -- The Department of Defense announced Tuesday the death of a Pennsylvania soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to the DOD, Capt. Jason B. Jones, 29, of Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, died Monday in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, of wounds received from small-arms.
He was assigned 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
The incident is under investigation.
