Montgomery County School Evacuated After Threatening Note Found in Bathroom

FRANCONIA, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Montgomery County say a middle school was evacuated, and students were being sent home for the day, after a note about a bomb was found inside the school.

The discovery was made inside a boys' bathroom at the Indian Crest Middle School, which is part of the Souderton Area School District.

Police got the call around 1:00 pm, and arrived a short time later with bomb-sniffing dogs.

Indian Crest Middle School released by in part:

'As a precaution, the building was evacuated and students and staff waited safely outside the school.  At this time, the police are screening the building for safety. When the building is deemed safe, students will be permitted to return to the school if they must pick up any important items. The school will remain open until 5:00p.m. on Thursday, November 13th.'
